I'd say #1. I've been enlightened on several issues, but overall my views on things hasn't radically changed. There's one user here, however, who has undergone a complete sea-change since he joined. I won't mention his name because he'd probably be embarrassed. Suffice to say, though I liked him before, he's now one of my favorite peeps!

Yep. I used to think herzog was a nutter, but he's actually a prick.
I've gained insights, including into some positions I oppose. I probably am pretty close to the original view set, but ... that's OK. My purpose isn't to convert or be converted ... it is to try and distill perceptions and truths. And to shine light on the Roaches of the world. No one likes supporting known roaches.
I have learned a lot from this site, although I still hold pretty much the same opinions about things. What has been great is finding out that there are still compassionate, intelligent people out there - I don't come across many in my normal routine.
No, not really.
It's okay to change your mind. Unless you're John Kerry.
