WEATHERMAN MAKES RACIAL SLUR

[+] serious ballot by Cherri
created Tue Jan 18, 05

A Las Vegas weatherman (Rob Blair) was announcing the morning forecast Saturday when he referred to Sunday as being "Martin Luther Coon King Jr. Day". Vice President of the station said Blair simply stumbled when making the remark. Was this some lame, sorry excuse or quite possibly the truth? (Blair was fired soon after)

Sorry excuse
Possible truth

COMMENTS:
I'd have to hear it but I dont think even the most racist people would do that on pupose knowing they could lose their job. If it was an accident then it is kinda funny. lol.

Lame excuse would be my guess

You know that it could be possible that him saying that was a freudian slip. The weatherman might be a repressed racist, not showing it in public, but talking bad about other races to close friends or on anonymous websites. So thinking he was in private or thinking that he was not talking to the public, he let that comment loose.

I actually heard a black dude refer to it as "Mudda Effer King day or some shit".

I was thinking that too Duckhead, but I dunno, that's a really unfortunate choice of an 'accident' word.

Lol, CB..Interesting..I believe a few people here could relate to the guy.

Sure, it was a possible slip. And I possibly joined the Nazi Party, too. One more moron exposed to the world. If only it were that easy to root them all out...

I would have thought it was an honest slip of the tongue, but when he apologized on air for the earlier mistake, he said "Marting Luther Kong" - so that 2 slips, which make it harder to believe.

I agree with cracked_bulb
It was probably a Freudian slip.

Clearly a closet racist, he should be given a police caution as well for inciting racial hatred. And he certainly should never work in the media again.

There is NO excuse for a specific slip like that.
