No, 'cause in fascism is the other way around: state controls the economics via corporations (but a fascist corporation is more like a state organised union / sindicate). When is about the economic policy one could say fascism is the childhood of the communism. Really, I know this stuff. I've writte (???) a paper about this and I'm working on another one right now. Don't worry you are a long way from fascist Italy. But closing in rapidly! :--) Damn my english.
PS: that dictionary is full of crap. Fascist were helped in their fight for power by the business leadership, but once in power they really didn't give a damn. Try to you imagine Hitler or Mussolini smiling at a businessman and saying: yes sir, you are right, will do that... LMAO! The thing is, I've read tones of books on this subject and I still have difficulties in defining fascism and especially nazism. A short dictionary definition will never be too precise and in this case really sucks.
(still awaiting the formation of the Offices of Homeland Religion and Halliburton Operations)
No, fascism is more leftist.
I like this characterization of fascism: conservative working class + blind faith in a leader + non-stop nationalism + paranoia against a perceived foreign danger + diabolization of internal opposition + proteccionism of private interest = fascism.
