I was thinking the same thing. It's sort of an "we're fed up with the lies" option.
Maybe it should be tested @ a state or city level first. How funny would it be if "none of the above" was your local mayor.
Look who we had last election. That would have been great if we had it.
I like the idea, but what happens when None wins? We start over? What if we have some, er, monkey in the office? Do they stay until another nomination, campaign and election is completed?
Most ballots I would assume have an area for write-in candidates. It wouldn't hurt to put "they're all assholes" in the write-in if that accomplishes your goal.
If none of the above wins, we could start all over with new candidates, and the ones who lost the first election are not eligible. How's that sound?
