I'm not even referring to any political opinion when I say this ... Moore's rant just seemed to not be appreciated by the Academy. Do you think that's the reason why Fahrenheit 9/11 wasn't nominated? It's well known that the Academy has a long and hyper-critical memory.

the academy is full of moore supporters, I doubt if it was for that reason, more likely they did not think the film deserved to be nominated.

I'm with Truthseeker013, it raised some good points, but it didn't flow very well, and it seemed like it was hastily thrown together. There are many other works worthy of these awards.

May not have been nominated for an Oscar, but some of the "actors" in the film got nominated for Razzie awards so all hope isn't lost.
