COMMENTS:
I had friends in every group except band. I didn't know anyone in band. I let the stoners copy off of me in American History so they could pass.
I remember my first year I took "General" level English because I thought I could use some improvement. I ended up sharing the class with all the dopeheads and pretty much what you described, happened to me. Things gradually got a lot better though, Thank Jebus.
There was a conglomerate of stoner, raper, raver and metallers. Clear groups but we all got on. Then there was the jocks and the geek/loners. Clear division between these two groups.... except when the jocks wanted the occassional dubee. I was metaller - stoner - pill head
Not that I like to stereotype people or anything...!
I hung out mainly with retards, we used to have drooling competitions, those were the days

Hey who didn't do that once in a while.
I went to a special Hockey school where we all wore helmets. Funny, now I think of it, we never, ever did play any hockey.
Irritating maths geek. Music helped my profile a little except that I was into the sort of unfashionable music that irritating maths geeks tend to like.
The cool people wouldn't let me join their bands because I could play an instrument too well.
I hung out in the hall with the fruity ppl who were all into art and anime, and a lot of them wore black

You used to be the outcast, didn't you tommo? He used to be shackled to the radiator in the broom cupboard and he used to get taunted at various points throughout the day.
aya, did you go to Wexford C.I.?
I was a bad boy in high school. My best friend and I supplied most of the acid (all of the good acid) to my school. We always had a group of sycophants around. We had friends and contacts in all the other groups. I wouldn't be caught dead with the druggies.
None, even the rejects have their own crowd which im not part of
wait I hang around with stoners
When I grew up in Southern California, my high school was divided into two groups - the Surfers and the Low Riders. I was a Surfer I guess, cuz I got beaten up by a gang of Low Rider chicks. As far as stoners, geeks and jocks - I got along with them all but mostly stayed with the stoners. But I never inhaled!
Nerd/geek, though we liked to refer to ourselves as "Those Who Shall One Day Rule Over All".
im still in high school, and its a small school but most of my friends are either punks or stoners
WolFy!! You got out.... I thought you were gonna be shakled there for ages. I didn't really lose the key.. in fact I have it right here donr refer your tarumers on to others.... not constructive
What?
what?
You thick or summit?
That was a response to your comment. I see you've still got the attention span of a gold fish
Whats a tarumers?
its traumer with the r in the wrong place. Sorry
Apology excepted. Don't do it again.
You always were a bit Autistically sensitive about spelling. I know I have to be sensative to your disposition Get well soon
...Surely I wouldn't know what the correct spelling is if I was autistic.
...that is, I would even know that is was wrong in the first place.
*wouldn't
People who are autistic dont necessarily have bad spelling. In fact it is well known that Autism can allow some people to excell unexpectedly in things such as MAths or word patterns. When an autistic person feels like they are losing control over what they are trying to concentrate on it can upset them irrationally. The fact that I put one letter out of order seemed to upset you.... Confirming your past problems with mild autism
note that you showed this tendancy again by correcting yourself (**wouldn't**) even though it was quite obvious what you meant
um_yeah - To answer the ballot - It was a bit like this actually
I'm not too sure. I had friends in different groups. I guess I was just there. But my senior year I was the foreign exchange student. To be honest, I made a lot of friends. Of course, while we were standing around, they were probably laughing at me. I'm sure I'd chime in when it seemed appropriate and start laughing at myself, never understanding a word that was said.

highschool was great,, i miss it.. especially football and baseball ..now my only options are those stupid old people leagues that mean nothing
When I attended high school from 1957 to graduation in 1960, the crowds were then known as "circles of friends" or "cliques." Mine consisted of my fellow musicians as we all played in the school band.
Sort of split my time between the National Honor Society geeks and the roughneck rednecks, and, amazingly, got along well with both clans. Good god, there was some major cognitive dissonance when I shifted mental gears between the two! "Well, of course, what Nietschze was really saying in BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL was...yeee-hahhhaah!! South's gonna rise agin, Yankee assh*les!"
Jeeeesus - That answers a lot of questions! (felix)
Gee, I wish you'd shown up at my high school, Tommo. We would have debated you to the point you were whimpering & stuttering, then taken you out back and kicked the crap out of you with our cowboy boots. It would have been "Beat Up on English Homos Day," and we could have had a parade afterwards. Yeee-hahh!
What was Nietzsche saying in Antichrist, Felix? Capitalism is good?
felix - - heh heh - that answers even more questions about you. Sounds like you were a completely red necked, homophobic, aggressive fool at school.... seems you're proud of it too. I'd like to see you try and beat me up you little mongrel. Actually it's quite harrowing to imagine you running at me like a hiyena with hunched back, trying to slap me with your double chin. No actually... that would just be amusing. You complete fool felix- Gotta love it
Cretin (aptly named): "What is good? --- All that heightens the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself in man." "What is more harmful than any vice? --- Active sympathy for the ill-constituted and weak..." Actually, I guess in a crude, 19th century, social Darwinist way, it could be capitalistic--versus the "rush to the bottom" of your beloved socialism. ...But, that's not the gist of the work, and you know it. Nietschze actually has some very valid things to say about the priesthood of Christianity and what it did to Western civilization, especially as to the suppression of dissent & the will to power. Read some Robin Lane Fox sometime or Ramsay Macmullen for further confirmation of what the early Church did to "heretics" and other religions' adherents. There's also much to N.'s analysis of the "guilt sacrifice" & its problems. Now, go back to your Marx, sweetie.
Tommo: Ah, yes, I can just picture you back in high school too...riding on the small yellow bus, wearing the helmet to protect you from falling down, drooling, jumping up & down when the nice teacher said you and the rest of the special ed students could go out on a field trip for chocolate ice cream. We would have probably just driven you out into the wilds somewhere, left you alone, and let you reenact the 3rd reel of "Deliverance" with some of the locals who found you--where you could "squeal like a pig" to your heart's content.
It's cruel to laugh at the afflicted....
