What I don't understand, honestly, is why we should care about the Petersons. I don't know the Petersons. They are not famous. I will probably never interact with the Petersons, their extended families, and their friends. I know our society is very individualistic, but the media coverage is obscene, unnecessary, and distracts people from the ISSUES.

The PETERSON case is in the spotlight because it started off as a missing persons case, with the husband asking the nation for help and then the TWIST of he being the main suspect is what cemented this as another OJ circus. Also, both people invovled are pretty (ugly people don't get much press). ALSO, he died his hair, changed his appearance, and didn't he make a run for it, like OJ did? Something like that. STILL, I AGREE THAT WE SHOULDN'T BE SO INVOLVED IN THIS SMALL TIME CASE -- WHAT ABOUT THE REAL NEWS OUT IN THE WORLD? Right?
