COMMENTS:
too many conflicting reports, I don't know.
How long has it been since this started? Still shortages of electricity, water, sewer functions ... still a high threat of death or injury ... from either side ... No, I don't think we're making as much progress as we'd like.
And we can't, as long as it remains a primarily military effort.
Just don't see things moving in any directions except downhill. Today, the bombing of the U.S. Embassy, two dead- that's NOT the pattern of behavior expected by people who are welcoming us. I know that this is probably the work of a select few, but they're drawing fans...
Look at what happened in Iraq today. Sunday the 30th of January is a good day for Iraq.
76% turned out to vote despite a very good chance of dying as a result. The majority of the insurgents are not iraqis, are instead from neighboring iran, syria, etc, where they also recieve military aid. Your facts are again screwed up steely boy.
If we weren't then no one would have shown up for elections. What do people expect? Do you know how long it took America to gain independence? Do you think we did it without bloodshed? We didn't exactly have a pillow fight and then sit down and have tea and krumpets. If you don't like being free then move somewhere that is still oppressed. You wouldn't even be able to say these things, if our country hadn't fought for it's freedom, why wouldn't you want others to have the same freedoms you have.
