Oh yeah, in high school there was a legend of a kid named Robby something. Allegedly, he stroked one off in the back of the room in economics and put it in a sock which he left in the room. I've heard the tale from at least 5 different sources and I knew the guy. He never confirmed but never denied.
Yes. In fact, I was one of them, sometimes. I had a photojournalism class that I'd go to and fall asleep on a regular basis. I was never a Morning Person. I thought no one noticed. After the 1st midterm, the professor called me aside. "{Insert my last name}," he said, "every day you come into my classroom, sit in the back, and sleep ... then, when I'm expecting Divine and Righteous Justice ... you get the highest grade of the class on the midterm!" He was ticked! BTW, this isn't meant as boasting ... the mechanics of photojournalism are incredibly easy, especially if you know basic algebra. Evidently, the average Journalism major does not. The artistic nature of it (which was not on the midterm) ... that's the tough part, IMO.
yes, but not in any class i have taught. i imagine it has to do with the style of teaching used. and EWWWW to the sock story!
In college, I had a physics professor who would, if he saw a sleeping student, sneak up on him and yell, in his ear, "WATCH IT NOW!" I got about three of them myself before I learned.
I onced dozed off in P.E. of all classes.
i was so good at sleeping in class that i majored in it in college then went on to the workplace where i carried on my proud tradition...zzzz.
