I don't want to grow old, but alone is fine. That does mean I'll have to do all my own chores and provide for my own financial security. Darn. In answer to the question, no, I would not do anything for love.

No. At one time I thought I would, but then I found that it is premised on both parties being committed to the relationship.

If only one party retains the commitment, actions beyond certain thresholds become futile.
