Say yes so you don't get sent to Guantanamo Bay
Say no because you don't want to shake a hand with that much blood on it
act like I didnt hear him and walk away
Ask about HIS military career
Shake my heros hand!
Feign illness and run to the loo.

I would shake his hand, not because I support him , but because of the office he holds, and would make great story to tell my grandchildren.

I'd rather save my eventual imprisonment for something tangible I do, like amking the masses aware of actual wrongdoing by the administration.

For mist cases, I would follow's larry's lead.

But ... not for Bush. There are certain thresholds I cannot cross. I would not shake hands; I have no interest in being used as part of his PR/ propaganda.

I'd give him the ol' "Iron Squeeze" hand-shake..just to see if he registers pain like the mothers of those dead soldiers.

Shake his hand & grin from ear to ear for the photo, of course just thinking of the progress in Iraq I would be grinning anyway.

I would keep my hands firmly clasped behind my back and look him straight in the eye.

In your opinion, my friend. At least I wouldn't spit.

Les6, did you ever see the old news footage of Joe DiMaggio refusing to shake the hand of Robert Kennedy? Kennedy was gladhanding a line of baseball Hall-of-Famers, and when he came to Joe, Joe stepped back, with his hands clasped behind his back. It was a memorable moment, carried off with great dignity. Joe wouldn't shake RFK's hand because he suspected he had abused Marilyn Monroe (Joe's ex-wife). If you disrespect someone, however high-powered that person is, you shouldn't be obliged to shake his/her hand.

If you lived in an oppressed country that wasn't free you wouldn't have the choice. Be thankful that you do.

After I was once fired from a job, when walking out of the place, I turned around and offered my hand, and he said, "No hard feelings?" and I agreed and we shook hands.

Of course I DO harbor hard feelings toward him (even now...) and hope he dies a miserable death for firing me, but that's neither here nor there.

As for Bush, I'd never shake his hand. Nope. Never.
