I just saw a bit on the news about a few Northern Albertson's grocery stores scanning a customers finger print and then it automatically deducts the money from their bank accounts. It said they were already testing them so I wondered if anyone on this site was using this system?

No, and I will resist it if it is introduced:

* Like I trust them not to make mistakes with a decimal point. (Ever notic ethat grocery store errors are never in your favor?)

* Puts low-income peopel out of work.

* Potential for tracking purchases, building and sharing profiles.

They can't even give you the correct change, or remember how much a head of lettuce costs, and now they're going to operate high tech fingerscanning machines and directly access your bank account online? Uh, no.

Just hire a few monkeys to serve as cashiers, they're cheaper and more reliable than the people they usually hire.
