That ZORO was wild--maybe the greatest swordsman ever. He even had a TV show. I saw him kill 16 guys once. I'd like to see Jesus top that! As good as he was, he was no match for Batman.
not at all
How dumb was it of them not to allow anyone to convert? How did they expect the religion to grow - perpetual baby-booming?

Actually, some members of the faith contest the idea that there can be no converts, so the verdict is still out if you want to switch.
There is nothing in Christianity that can't be found in earlier religions - including Jesus. Zoroaster was only one of at least 16 different man-gods before Christianity whose biographies were so strikingly similar to that of Jesus as to prove that the latter's, written centuries later, is beyond reasonable doubt a forgery and a plagiarism. Whether we're talking about Zoroaster, Krishna, Mithras, Ra, or any of a dozen others, it's all there. The virgin birth, curing diseases by touch, getting suspended from a tree or cross as penalty for someone elses's sins, returning from death - to the pagan man-gods all the standard Jesus stuff was a "been there, done that" hundreds or thousands of years before Jesus showed up with his "Me, too!" act. And the first Christians knew it, too, although today's Christians don't.
I owe you for that post. But not immediately, due to Karma rules.
I gave it a karma boost
Neal_Anderthal, a lot more of us christians know about this kind of stuff than you think, but we still chose to believe in Jesus.
jesusfreak. Did you know that Mithra was born of December the 25th as well?
I don't know all details, but I do know that Dec. 25th was originally a pagan holiday.
