COMMENTS:
For those who don't remember, Mrs. Miller was an elderly lady who enjoyed a brief career as a "singing sensation" back in the 60s, around the same time as Tiny Tim (who was pretty horrid as well) was a big thing. She was absolutely awful, the worst singer you can imagine. I used to wonder whether she took herself seriously and didn't realize her popularity was due to her total lack of talent, or whether she was in on the joke.

Nothing unusual about that, Whitney. Hollywood history is rife with child "stars" who thought they were God's gift only to receive a rude awakening when they got a little older and were no longer in demand.
