More profits for the cotton plantations.
LoL @ Guest_228d3! Good question though. There would have been many, many more wars if the south had won. Sad.
I believe in "United We Stand, Divided We Fall." Had the South won the war, they would have remained part of the Confederate States. Therefore, America would be two countries. At least until the 1940's, when Hitler had his sights set on taking over the world. If it wasn't for a unified American army, the Nazis would have won World War II, and we would be flying the swastika in America today. Therefore, thank god the South didn't win the war (No offense, Southerners...)
Here's a thought that crossed my mind. During the Civil War, the British had a hell of an opportunity to recapture the American states. Why the hell didn't they go for it? Not that I would want to be under British rule today, but if I had been King of England at the time, I sure would have taken the opportunity by the horns, especially with all the new territory being colonized in the American West at the time.
Rap,hip hop would be banned,Country and blue glass woud take over the radio station all over the country.Marrying your first cousin woud be legalised.Inter racial marriage would be banned.U.S would declare war against China.Baptist would be our national religion.Carhart would be most trendy cothe line.Bay would be excuted.Liberals would be taken to labour camp.
We all would be cousins...
Assuming south would have over run the north and created a unified confederate states then the monkey president Bush would not be able to go to war at the drop of a hat and spend money left and right without the approval of the majority of states. Federal government would be very weak as it should be without all that money to spend from income taxes!
By the way, it should be called "The War betwween the States". Get it right!
If the American continent was under confederate rule during WW2, the Germans, Japs, any axis power would easily have taken over the American confederate forces.
I guess I'd be eating grits for breakfast instead of pop tarts
We would have been two separate nations and it would have been well known to the world that we were weak. It would have only been a matter of time before we were taken over and would still be under the leadership of another country.
Deo vindice! Resurgam!
