COMMENTS:
I had a fish (a betta, or Siamese Fighting Fish) who loved to build big bubble nests. Whenever I went on vacation and our neighbor fed him, he'd stop building his nests. When I returned, he'd build a big nest

...within 24 hours.

I thought that was touching. It also proved to me that he had emotions.

(sorry about the commentus interruptus - I hit return prematurely)

I think all animals do, many birds for example mate for life and raise families together.

At least all vertebrates.

As a hunter, I don't like to think about animals having emotions, though I'm sure to some degree they all do. Most notably, in my opinion, elephants. The way they mourn the dead and grieve for lost herd members is quite touching.

and Dolphins. Look how smart they are...their one downfall is they like us. :)

I think all creatures do. I've seen embarrassment, happiness, sadness, boredom, etc. I even think when my brother died his tortoise missed him.

I'm sure all living organisms are capable of some degree or type of emotion - even if we can't measure it.

Great ballot, nuckinfutz.
