Animals are protected by animal rights laws and it is generally legal to put to sleep - whether you have a reason to or not. But you can't put your annoying aunt with lip fungus to sleep. Or your dying grandfather who wants to be put out of his misery. Why?

We should be able to put people to sleep
Pets shouldn't be put to sleep
Humans have souls... and animals are animals

I think if a person has a terminal illness and is in great pain, he/she should have the same rights as a cat or dog - to be given a nice shot of something and take the long sleep. Just my opinion.

If I get real bad off I want a massive shot of morphine.
After I had surgery I had a morphine pump that I could control. I'd notice that after a hit my breathing would be very show...but hey! I didn't care!
