When you have a big fish tank your fish grow bigger. Many people from Asia where the population is huge are smaller than those from Europe and the America's. Could this be because of the fish bowl effect?

No, it might have something to do with the food, however. As one Chinese girl pointed out to me, had she grown up and was still living in China, she would be shorter than she is today, having only eaten Chinese food.

It all to do with the quality of the food, as Aya says. In Victorian Britain the average height was at least half a foot less than today. Simply because they were not able to eat as well as we do.
