I agree that liberals have always struck me as odd for believing in the life of a murder but not that of a baby. Also you could add Micheal Moore & Rosie O'donnell , they both oppose gun ownership but both of their body guards have been found to carry guns.
Someday George W. Bush's name will appear in the Webster's dictionary definition of "hypocrite." The "peace president" starts a war for no good reason. The "education president" is now slashing education. The "fiscal conservative" is on track to create historic deficits. "The Cowboy" has publicly admitted that his base is the "haves and the have mores." Bush is without a doubt, one of the biggest two-faced, flip-floppers in history.
I don’t agree with all forms of abortion nor do I agree that anyone should be able to get one for any reason, but lets be honest the religious right don’t care as much about protecting the lives of babies as they care about keeping women repressed.
As far as capital punishment is concerned I’d be for it if there weren’t evidence that the majority of people on death row are likely innocent and the system is too flawed to be able to institute capital punishment. This is obvious because the vast majority of the people on death row are poor minorities but most murders are not committed by poor minorities.

theres a big difference between a recently fertilized egg and a few months of pregnancy.. my ex-gf's sister had an abortion after she had been pregnant for about 3 months.. she knew she was pregnant for a while,, she just didn't want to tell her parents. why the hell would anyone wait until the child was kicking to kill it.. thats horrible

No, I don't mind paying taxes that go to the troops salary, what I have a problem with is paying taxes to support government entitlements. Taxes that go to fix roads, security and various federal jobs and posts are not the problem.
What are the statistics on death row inmates that are executed and later found innocent? Obviously people wouldn't support putting innocent people to death if they new they were innocent, it's the pure theory that people support. There is not really much room to dispute that a baby would always be considered an innocent.
I saw a documentary film recently that covered law students that decided to make a class project out of trying to see if they could prove people on death row were indeed innocent not only were they able to do it in every case they research but in some their was only a confession from the inmate themselves to put them behind bars and most often the inmate in question was retarded. They then found that cops often beat confessions out of suspects using phone books and other methods that prevent leaving a mark.
Only 60% of all murders end in arrest and some of the suspects are found innocent so if there is a rather sensational case like say the Lindbergh baby murder/kidnapping and the cops can’t find the real killer chances are they will arrest a patsy; it really helps if they are poor or a minority or an immigrant or just retarded.
How much different is Texas from Illinois. If those kids had taken a class in pottery numerous innocent people would have been murdered by a justice system that claims to be against murder. It is NOT the responsibility of our government to insure revenge for the families of murder victims.
There is a documentary (not the aforementioned one) called The Thin Blue Line, watch that movie and tell me how much faith you have in our justice system.
Also, everygirl, don't forget that Rosie O attacked Tom Selleck on her show for being in the NRA, while she was doing Walmart ads. Walmart having a very high number of gun sales.
Rosie is a spokes person for K-mart not WalMart. Get it straight.
