I think cats especially are much more aware than humans. Most animals hear and see all kinds of things that we can't.

About two days after my little Jill (one of my female dachshunds) died on valentines day 2001 my other female was starring at a blank wall and her head was turning from side to side as if someone was talking to her, and later that night when i went to bed she did something that only my little jill did. She laid up on my pillow and wrapped herself around my neck and slept there all night. Maggie never ever did that only jill did, but that night she seemed to of took on jills personality. I think it was Jills way of telling me she was there with us and she is ok. That is just one of many stories of things that happened after her death.
I trip out on stuff all the time, and then when I realize people are looking, I stop.
