DO YOU KNOW ANY TREKKIES PERSONALLY?

[+] ballot by aya
created Fri Mar 18, 05

I was wondering if you personally know any trekkies. I was watching a documentary on this, and there are apparently people who go around wearing star trek uniforms, calling themselves 'leutiant' and such, apparently, there are people who can actually speak Klingon, and memorize the entire klingon dictionary. Do you know anyone like this personally?

Yes, I've known people like this
No, not personally
I am one!

I know a few girls at my school that can speak some Klingon. Do you think trekkies wear those pointy ears with their outfit? LMAO!

You know girls who can speak Klingon? People can't be bothered to learn a real language.

Yeah, they're nerdy girls that have nothing better to do.

Yes, I used to live in a town called Vulcan Alberta, and trekkies have conventions there.

I personally like Star Trek, just because people have an interest in something, it doesnt make them strange.

People enjoy bowling for goodness sake, not THAT is strange.

Thanks to DS9, I am. But don't bring that klingon-speaking this way. I caught a dose of that at close range, and I'm still dealing with the trauma.
