True lynchmob at work. God knows how many of these people are criminals themselves, because nobody checked their background. I would like to go out there with a video cameras, and record their faces for the future generation. Just like those nazis in germany, japanese in Nan-king, lynchmobs in omaha, someone has to hold these people accountable sometime in the future.

The idea that untrained, unauthorized bands could unilaterally decide to "help" officials is ludicrous. They bring their own agenda, priorities, and methods ... all of which dilute or undermine the official undertaking.
Plus, the first time some unauthorized yahoo shoots/kills someone, I can guarantee that all subsequent attempts will be armed "in self defense," effectively escalating the whole thing.
This sounds like some rednecks that ran out of stuff to use for target practice. They're most likely angry about losing their landscaping jobs to some beaners and are looking for revenge. The border security is a shambles, but it's the job of those incompetant boobs in Washington D.C. to fix it. Maybe it's time to outsource the government to someone who can do a better job a lot cheaper.
I like it. If the government dont wanna do sh*t about it, then let the people. Also, isn't the bigger issue that undocument foreigners, which could be terrorists, criminals, etc. for all we know, are entering illegally???? Think about it.
This is totally stupid. This is bound to lead to trouble. We don't need a bunch of drunken, dumbass, unemployed, embittered, violent 'necks hanging out at the border just waiting to pounce on desperate people. I have a better idea. Why doesn't the US offer a trade: one moron redneck for one hard-working, religious, responsible Mexican. This would improve the US immensely, and help to solve our 'neck problem, which is infinitely worse than our immigrant problem.
And another thing, if those gun-totin', super-patriotic bad-asses are so hot to defend a border, why don't they go to Iraq and defend the Iraq-Syria border from terrorists? LOL.

Now, for the moment of common sense. If these "patriots" really wanted to make a profound effort to secure our nation's frontiers against the onslaught of illegal immigration, here's a far simpler and less-costly idea for our little Minutemen to apply. Why not send a few people up to D.C., and leave a letter (decorated with angels, to be assured that the proper authorities will take quick note of it) with Mister Bush, asking him why he promised the Border Partol that he would provide them with 2,000 new agents in their next budget, and then trimmed that number to 300.

All the name calling doesn't change the fact that you are all jellyfish.In fact it highlights the fact that you feel imasculated when people have a bigger set of balls than yourselves(which is not saying much to begin with)because you feel the need to resort to namecalling a grouping of people who actually come from various backrounds and who actually stand up for what they believe in.They are going to help protect our borders and just as importantly they are sending a message to democrats and republicans who have sold the American people out including Georgy boy.That's funny.You are on George's team on this one.

From the info I've heard on the subject, the minute men a mostly made up of highly trained ex-military members who have permits to carry weapons.
I sympathize with them, and their cause. But I doubt this will help them out any.

I can get some of my homies from the inner cities to join me with some heavier artillery. and lowerclassbrats, your supposition that they are highly trained military personnel is a laugh. I've seen them around, and they are invaribly guys who used to wear white sheets over their heads - highly trained military personnel should know better than join these yahoos. Even if they were high trained ex- military, it's pretty clear what they are against. It's the brown people they are after, otherwise they will be lining the canadian border.

LCD: canadians aren't pouring over the border illegally by the millions. The only significant population of illegal immigrants in the US are mexicans, so if you're out to combat illegal immigration who would you primarily go after?

Actually I apologize for the name calling that I did myself.You should however seriously listen to yourselves though.I don't have the energy right now to dig up and present the statistics but I have seen them before and the border issue is a most serious one and it's a shame that citizens feel the need to pick up the ball.There are dangerous people who illegally cross the US border and they account for alot of crime,violence and murder against US citizens.Nowhere have I heard any of the minutemen catagorically insult Mexican people.This is a security issue and if there are any racial overtones it's coming from the critics of the minutemen.
LCD are you saying Canadians are crossing our borders committing crimes and leeching off of our public services? Q: What is a country without borders? Answer: It isn't a country at all. LCD you shouldn't be angry with the Minute Men at least they're willing to attempt to stop the drug trafficking and leeching that occurs when illegals enter the U.S. If you wanna be pissed blame Bush for not hiring more border agents. What you might not be aware of is I lived in Sierra Vista Arizona aka Ft Huachuca and the criminal immigration problem was rampant down there along the Mexican border.
If you are for wage-slavery then you are not concerned about the illegal immigration of primarily Mexicans.
If you are not concerned with Islamo-Facists sneaking across the Mexican border then you are for illegal immigration.
If you are in favor of wage suppression due to the influx of illegals then let the Mexicans in.
If you support the fact that 30% of jailed, violent criminals are illegal Mexicans then let them in.
If you are for the gang violence imported from hispanic ports then let them in.
If you are for the environmental destruction of the American Southwestern desert then let the illegal, criminal aliens in.
If you love this country and are willing to put your life on the line to demonstrate that fact then you are a patriot and I salute you!!!1
I won't brand them as Klansmen without further evidence, but they are a bunch of clueless individuals acting on impulses better left in their hip pockets. If they REALLY want to make a difference in the situation on the borders, then they should go to their President and ask him to restore the funding for extra Border Partol agents he promised last year, before he realized that doing so would prevent him from giving that tax break to those who really DON'T need it.
