CAN THE EFFECTS OF A PHILOSOPHY BE BLAMED ON THE PHILOSOPHER?

COMMENTS:
Perhaps there may be some culpability if the philosopher was a strong advocate and the ensuing movements remained true to the philosopher's original thrust. (In the case of Christianity, I would argue, this does not hold true, today.)
Theres an old adage, dont shoot the messenger. What people decide to do with the message can bein no way attributed to the original author.
If Nietzsche would've lived to see the nazism, he would've laugh his ass off. You can't blame a smart man, when the idiots fail to understand him.
