WOULD LCD BAN A USER IF THEY HAD A PICTURE OF THE CONFEDERATE FLAG ON THEIR USER PAGE?

COMMENTS:
I really can't say. I think he'd measure the context in which the pic was used. Say, if it were part of a display for Civil War history, I think it might fly. But if it were as part of an ad for the Official Restart of the War of Northern Aggression, then the user might get banned. BTB, should that war actually begin again, who's going to meet me at the Maryland-Virginia border to smuggle me across? I don't think the South'll be dumb enough to reinstate slavery, but I will have ticked off a few people down here when I call for the descendants of General Sherman to come down and finish the March to the Sea.
No, at least, he shouldn't. The idea that the confederate flag is first and foremost a representation of slavery is a ludicrous idea at best. The confederate flag means a lot to southerners who value their heritage, not because of the slavery, but because of where they came from and how the confederate flag to this day is a symbol of individualism from the 'north'.
For a while I had Cartman as General Lee as my user pic and there was a confederate flag on it. He never bothered me about it. He did want me to change my pic when I had Cartman as Hitler though.
It's just a flag that symbolizes southern heritage and not slavery. It's no more offensive than the Dodge Charger from the 'Dukes of Hazzard' although I am offended by their use of the word 'Cooter'.
didn't someone have a nazi flag once and was told to remove it? I may be wrong, but seems as though I remember something like that happening
No, he wouldn't since that nutjobs krieger has had his confederate flag up on his user site for months.
or maybe it was a confederate flag
