Yes. Although foreigners have huge investments in US/Canada and the US wouldn't be able to run the huge federal goverment deficits it's incurred under the "conservative" Bush administration without this foreign investment.
Yes, especially in the manufacturing sector.
Yes. The US exports jobs to reduce costs. Other countries export jobs here to gain access to our markets. The former is much more prevalent.
No, the net effect of "outsourcing" is a gain for North America including Mexico.
I am not a puritan or bleeding heart so I have nothing against people wanting a nice lifestyle, etc., I don't think it's "Evil" to own a suv. That said: The people who are selling stuff to the US are getting richer while the US is getting more in debt and poorer. The producers are laughing all the way to the bank. They will be nice to Americans as long as Americans continue their consumer binge and over extended lifestyles. What happens when the world no longer wants or needs the "Services" American Workers provide?
Its never gonna happen. It sounds like it but that isnt true. We are buying cheap products from these countries but the factories making us these products are owned by the u.s. Also we pull more money than we put out. There are countries always buying new military weapons off of the United states and all big corporations are owned by the u.s. Companies like Microsoft sell to countries all over the world and those billions come to the united states. But once the United states starts to loose to much money which it already has hopefully our next president is smarter than a fifth grader and does something to solve this.
