Rice had decided the National Counterterrorism Center's 'Patterns of Global Terrorism' report should now be ignored. This report shows a doubling in terror attacks (not counting Iragi insurgants)
Is the war on terror won, so now we can ignore it, lah tee dah?

because we're not winning the war on terror?
because it really isn't important
because this report is BS
yeehah we won another WAR!!

Your comment answered your question, Jyl. No who is charged with prosecuting a war wants to acknowledge the truth of an index that shows them losing that war. Simple stuff.

You really have to love how they label things: The new "clear skies" legislation actually achieves the opposite. Back a bit, and their "no child left behind" left all children behind because it wasn't funded, and so on. This level of doublespeak reminds me of "A Clockwork Orange." Spooky stuff.

Thanks for an interesting ballot.

This report was lauded by the Administration ... when they thought it bolsetered their case. Now that it turns out it actually undermines it ... can't let facts get in the way of ideology.

The report demonstrates Bushy's incompentence in his War on Terror.
