Kirk was the best but I like Janeway because she had balls.
She was the most wasted character in the entire Trekverse. As the first woman captain, she got saddled leading the WORST outfit in TV history, PERIOD. She deserved better. The fans deserved better. And NO ONE was near Ben Sisko! A poll of Navy officers back in 1995, all of whom were sci-fi fans, agreed that Sisko was the most realistic CO of ANY of the Trek captains. He was what any good captain should be. Approachable, friendly and fair, yet stern and authoritarian, when he needed to be, the kind of CO who can command the respect necessary in real-world military affairs.
WTF? Voyager was one of the best series ever, ok it did get worse during the later seasons but all shows get worse after a couple of years.

She's ok. You're right though, Voyager did suck beyond belief. From the begining that was the most boring Star Trek. And Janeway was just....blah. A very non-interesting character. DS9 was boring too at first, but later on they started having all those battles so that fixed it right up. Nothing like watching space ships blow each other up. :)
Janeway he was one of my favorites and WAY BETTER than whoever Scott Bacula played. Oh, was he ever miscast. He was the reason I stopped watching Star Trek. We DO need another Star Trek. Janway didn't have balls--how sexist--she had BOOBS! Ben Sisko seemed to be lost in a fog all the time. To me, any segment with him in it was a longeur.
