COMMENTS:
The only thing I am asking you is to post some ballots that I can understand. And now you disrespect me and my family, for the second time, by posting something like this. DO YOU WANT A WAR?
Joking, Johan?

I haven't take my xanax today...
The rightwing thinks it should own everything: god, the flag, the money, the work force, the land, the morals, the courts, the legislatures, the White House.
Help! I'm bored!
I don't think the right has hijacked the flag. It's just that every time the left gets their hands on one they either burn it or cover it with swastikas. So by comparison the right looks like it's in love with the flag, when in reality the left could be seen as just as respectful if they wanted to.
Definitely. Depending on the indivudual Rightist, it is treated somewhere between Brand and Fetish.
Zerhog is engaged in more of his big lie propaganda.
^ You're saying commies don't burn the flag?
If Moyer's has it right, then it is our fault. Historically, the flag has been a symbol of unity for America. It seems to me that Moyers may be stating the case a bit too strongly. Isn't it possible that this apparent "hijacking" of the flag as a party symbol might be just as easily explained as reflecting a need to express our general patriotism, rather than identifying that feeling with a particular party or political view?; with our nation being at war and less to do with the values of the Right? Consider: In times of national suffering, doesn't the flag become more important to us; don't we "rally 'round the flag?" Of course we do. So, though Moyer's comments may be a timely "heads up" for our less conservative citizens, he may well have it wrong. Time will tell. Interesting ballot. Thanks.
Interesting ballot. Thanks.
Crank: look up the last time an american burned the flag in public, guess which side of the spectrum they were on. And the time before that, and before that and before that, and so on. Not all liberals are flag burners, but it seems all flag burners are liberals.
it's the whole Questioning Authority thing, some people do it and some people can't.. I personally wouldn't waste my energy burning a flag, what Drama! but ohhhh let us all worship and cherish this symbol .. or this brand new bible, or this dollar bill, or look there's a stripper with a Big Mac! :p
