Yes, and I fear it's pretty much nil :-(

A good question. "Worth" seems relative to what the comparitive value is in reference.

My own bias: Balance and moderation. Too much skewing either way (individualism or citizen) is probably, by definition, a Bad Thing (tm).

I disagree with what you said mojo

So do I, larry. I keep the link to her website just for those moments when things gets hairy. Someone of "nil" worth can't calm me in my tough times.

We are all valuable, if you need any validation in this, watch 'Its a Wonderful Life'.

We all affect hundreds of others by our prescence and our absence would affect the course of our local history.

Everyone has value. Actually, every living creature has value. I'm not sure about over valuing ourselves as individuals though. It's probably a good idea to feel your own sense of value if you are moved to do good in the world, even if its only small acts of kindness. A homeless guy came up to me on the subway today and all eyes were on me becuase he pretty much avoided everyone else and made a bee line for me. I hated that and I thought horrible thoughts about him. After he moved to the next car, I felt an incredible sense of sadness for him, but also for me because I dismissed him as something with no value. I was wrong. He has as much value as I or anyone else does. I wish I had given him the money he said he needed.

Everyone has some worth, even if they don't realize it.
