Can anyone demonstrate that Islam is a religion of peace? I am so tired of hearing that!! Every conflict (minus one) involves Isalmic peoples. In the Darfuf the Janjaweed is Arab/Muslim backed. In Mauritania the slavery is done by the "White Moors" against the black Africans. In Lebanon it is Syrian Muslims that blew up Hairiri. In Afghanistan again Muslims. The Saudis are the most intolerant and also the biggest exporters.
So even though Christianity has a head start the Muslims are quickly becoming the "best" at needless murder and hatred worldwide. That is of course apart from Communism which is the religion of the world's greatest murderers.
This question is much too vague to answer. Any religion can be twisted into horrible acts by extremists. Granted, some lend themselves more easily to that.

people always talk about the crusades as a terrible act of aggression by the Christians, whhich it was, but remember, the Crusades came about because the Muslims seized the Holy land by force of arms, and where persistently invading the christian lands of the Byzantine empire.
Take into account that Christians are responsible for the crusades, the inquisition, and the holocaust. Islam is a relatively new religion and as far as actual numbers, Christianity is by far the most bloodthirsty religion in history regardless of current Christian sentiment.

I may just be ignorant, but how were christians responsible for the holocaust?
