COMMENTS:
You have a strange obsession with President Bush. Perhaps if you democrats spent more time figuring out what the American people wanted in stead of spitting out constant insults and emity. You may have done a better job in the election of 2004.

ROgue - This ballot's about Stem Cell Research. If the majority of Americans don't want that, then they are incredibly stupid and selfish.
by wolf_nipple_chips on Tue May 24, 05 12:13pm [+]

So, the American people wanted a pointless war, costing hundreds of America lives, thousands of casualties and hundreds of billions of dollars. And the American people wanted massive tax giveaways to the rich and massive budget deficits that won't be paid off for decades, if ever. And the American people wanted a wholesale rollback of environmental regulation, that will lead to a tremendous increase in pollution and pollution-related illness. And the American people wanted to lose it's civil liberties with Bushy's Patriot Act, the beginning of the end for freedom in the US. And the American people wanted a ban on stem cell research, so that we could begin moving toward a fundamentalist-ruled dark age. And the American people wanted to live through the reign of the worst president in American history.

So that's what the American people wanted.

Thanks, conservatives!

60% of Americans support federal funding for stem cell research, including a majority of Republicans.

yes wolf... i feel playing God is wrong.. i am so stupid and selfish... there is nothing wrong with creating life and destroying it. What is my problem?
by RawIron on Tue May 24, 05 12:55pm [+]

Why is it okay for Bush to play God?
by cranky on Tue May 24, 05 4:09pm [+]

Mrs Reagan probably has a GWB doll that she sticks pins in every night, chanting, "This one's for you, Ronnie." And you're right in a sense about some Democrats being obsessed with Mister Bush, Rogue. When you get a man who comes into office and begins systematically to alienate a considerable portion of the population...
by Truthseeker013 on Tue May 24, 05 5:10pm [+]

cranky, would you please explain
by RawIron on Tue May 24, 05 5:21pm [+]

Rogue, I figured it out. The public supports stem research by 2 to 1. (60%-30%) Check any poll you want.
by Applerod on Wed May 25, 05 2:13am [+]

Raw, the stem cells that would be used are deemed "medical waste", since they come from the embryos that are left over from invitro-fertilization. These embryos are then destroyed. Surely that must be considered morally objectionable..?

What's the point of supporting life when you don't care about the condition of it? But maybe religion is at the center of certain people's disdain for it. And if that's the case, well there's really not much point in talking about it.
