Is it the national media's agenda to keep liberals and conservatives battling against each other so that any conspiracies that may in fact be true are automatically debunked as being part of a political smear campaign.

For instance, the Bush crime family and oil corporations hijacking of democracy is considered a myth made-up by liberal disgruntled with the election results while crime, unemployment and uncontrollable immigration are all caused by liberal policies.

I'm getting to a point where I don't believe anything I hear anymore. We had two presidential candidates that were arrested for trespassing at the second debate last year (one was on the ballot in 49 states) and the press did everything possible to surpress this story to purposely shift the attention to the Bush vs. Kerry charade.

Don't expect to find any smoking guns from 9/11 (real or not) to get any national attention.

There's nothing to see here folks. Everything is under control. You are free do what the media tells you to do.

Lets pit the everyone against each other while the rich get even more rich and export all the good jobs overseas. Just like the UN crap is just cover for the loss of sovereignity that is occuring with the WTO. The WTO makes no documents public, changes rules that impact each country all in complete secrecy. No one ever votes on them outside of the WTO. People, you are being had while your country is being looted by the rich.

This is an interesting ballot. While I think it is a little paranoid, it does raise some issues. It appears that each individual person has a responsibility to the democratic process. There are people who think there is not much they can do to change they "system", these people lack personal efficacy or lack personal responsibility. There are others who believe that their actions have a direct effect on the democratic process. If each person realized that they have enormous importance in the electoral process, then there will be more choices, more ideologies, and more perspectives. Furthermore, to change the current "system" people need not be afraid of change. Perhaps another political party will supplant the two big ones, may it be a change of name or platform.. Lastly when people understand who the media is controlled by, they will discount the media's message, see through the filters, and attempt to reach a logical conclustion.

It may sound paranoid, but I've had the same thought. Back during the election run-up, there were a LOT of new users who popped in solely to toss around GOP propaganda and nasty invective, and those users vanished as soon as Mister Bush won. I'd put nothing past the media. (feeling more like my old, paranoid self)

Divide and Conquer. It worked for the Romans and it's still working today. Why shouldn't we see it for what it is? It's only paranoia if you continue to fear it. I prefer to laugh at it myself, because more and more of us are waking up to the truth and it's only a matter of time before we rise up and reject it... otherwise we're milquetoast.
