Ever watch the news?
It depends on who or what owns the company I guess.
I've always been a fan of PBS Frontline meself. Mind you, you'll never hear an in-depth story about Exxon-Mobil funding anti-climate change research anytime soon ;-)
No. Averaging extremes does not result in "center" or balance. It results in a collection of extremes.
Plus, for the most part Conservative extremists make that accusation when the media dares question them or portray them in a less than flattering light (even if accurate). By bowing to that pressure, to a degree -- that, IMO, is how they get the accusations from both sides.
Anyone, ANYONE who thinks the news media is "fairly balanced" .. oh I can't even say it, you little wizards will suspend me.

For the record, neither liberals or conservatives control the media. MONEY controls the media. Any labels are relative to who has the money at the moment. CNN was as liberal as salt in a salt mine while Ted Turner owned it. Now that TimeWarner owns it- well, tune in and find out.
OMG TS13, STOP BLINDING US WITH THE OBVIOUS!!!!! :p
