Saw kid rock and counting crows at Memphis in May. Pearl Jam at the Pyramid.
B B King at his club on Beale St. (Memphis)
Cypress Hill and linkin park at Mid-South Colliseum
You didn't specify any musical style, so with that in mind it was guitarist Mike Stern with Alain Caron (6 string fretless bass) and Ben Perowsky (drums) at the Bamboo club (Toronto). They rocked my caulk.
I saw Iggy Pop and the Stooges in August 2003. They were unbelievably good; they played almost every song off their first two albums. A lot of really fun stuff happened too. The show had to be rescheduled because of the huge blackout that affected half the country, and to poke fun at the incident, the Stooges played one or two songs with all of the lights out. At another point in the concert, Iggy invited about a hundred people in the audience up on the stage to dance! Great show.
Van Morrison in the Salmanca Bull Ring.
The Cure in 1987 at The Ritz in New York City.
I went to see Black sabbath about 10 years ago when the reformed the band, they were great, but the best concert I ever went to was thin lizzy's fairwell tour shortly before Phil Lynott died.
George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers (OWWWW! gettin' happy just REMEMBERING!). I went to see them in Richmond, one of the first shows at the Arthur Ashe Center there, with my three best friends in college, Jim, Kevin and Dennis. The band was almost an hour late, and were scheduled to do a two-hour set. To make up for it, they ran till almost one in the AM. Kevin got a lap dance from a blonde he has yET to learn the name of, I got three phone numbers, all of which connected to the women who gave them to me, and Jim met a woman on the way back to drop me off on campus. (Dennis was engaged, if you wonder.) May not sound like much, but a geek's gotta have SOMETHING to dream about...
I saw NIN and David Bowie... I was 15 years old... it was so powerful that I didn't sleep all night *and had a hell of a soar ear* totally, completely sober... The first concert I ever went to ;) with many more to follow...
