I get that impression as well, but it's probably more along the lines that the world is changing rapidly right before their eyes and they simply have no other way to deal with it. Just look at the typical solution proposed for immigration--"We're gonna man the border, raise old glory and kill every beaner we see." Instead of solving a problem they want to react to a problem--from the comfort of their air conditioned room and internet connection.

It is certainly unfortunate that you take that lesson from conservatives. You might find it more closely in the party of the minority. But certainly your limited intellect probably forces you to be bound by whatever vitriol you choose to spew at the moment.
I think there are plenty of people who helped build this great nation. I can't claim to know what percent this and what percent that did this or that like you.
For the record I know that "non-whites" played a role, and further are playing a role in shaping and building this country.
Maybe you feel that way because some of the "minorities" have gotten away from your lilly-white plantation of the soft bigotry of low expectations?
