COMMENTS:
If a draft came out, I'd serve.
I'd rather get four years of college and become an officer though.
They would blame Democrats for it.
Do you think before you make these ballots?
Well another factless and hyperbolic attack that serves no purpose other than ranting for you. There are so many reasons in which you can criticize the right, and I would agree with you, but this shit is just that shiite.
I think if you want to be one of those pounding their chests about the war, then you ought to be willing to serve. Go to a College Republicans meeting and you will see lots of chest pounding but obviously little willingness to serve.
You're not officer material rightwing, but with your GED you should be able to get into the infantry.
Here's a curiosity: If we assume that in any reinstitution of the draft, that women would be included, would Bush's daughters end up in the National Guard?
The hue and cry would reverberate 'round the planet at least twice. Watch C-Span, and count the number of Young Republicans preaching the good word about the GOP, then imagine them out of their nice business suits and in cammies. They can, and it scares them. If not, they'd be PROUDLY sporting them. Every now and then, you can catch a case of some patriotic soul giving up his career to serve the noble cause, and his tale will be trumpeted for all to see and hear on Fox.
Im a 33 year old female and if there was conscription to military service for both male and female, I'd be a willing participant. I don't know if I'm beyond the age limit, but I'm willing to defend my country in any way. And just like Switzerland, I'm all for a mandatory conscription. The concept is so damn socialist, how can any liberals want to object to that? By the way, who exactly are making the "grandstanding speeches"?
