Any government that wants to start an armed conflict, regardless of the reason(s) for the action, has to fork over a flat fee, depending on how large-scale an action they want to invoke. Upon realizing this, maybe cooler heads might prevail.
getting rid of most weapons would be a good start. i think every nation is afraid to take the first step though. another way would be if we started to think of ourselves as human beings first and not as individual nationalities.
Anyone who has ever done E knows what I'm talking about. Smaller governments and strict constitutions would help.
There may well be simple ways to world peace, but so far, no one has either discovered them, or if discovered, put them to use. So, what might they be? Lots of idealistic, but impractical ideas occur, but they are so impossible as to obviate the need for articulation. This, observer, is a good ballot.
Give each person a million dollars.
^Here's the problem, Grapost, I think that if you gave each person in the world a million dollars, within one year most of the money would be back in the same hands it's in today. Still, I'd like my million. #:>)
