Actually Canada has a list of 30 some organizations that are considered terrorist and banned from Canada, anyone thought to be part of any of these organizations are to be deported and all assets to be confiscated. Proving it I feel is the hardest part. Canada does have troops in the middle east mainly in Afghanistan. Canadian-based Sikh extremists hostile to the Indian government were blamed for planting a bomb in luggage. It was the worst terrorist-related aviation disaster in history, prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. Terrorism is everywhere, the Air India attack was 20 years ago. In 1968 Canada actually inacted the war measures act (marshall law) when the FLQ kidnapped and killed a couple of MP's. Everyone has enemies Canada just has less.

^As far as terrorists, they have more groups. 50 by the latest count.
I read the article you posted Cletus, interesting. I would think that a good terrorist group would be unknown, I really dont understand why any of them are allowed to operate in Canada or anywhere else for that matter, mind you I dont see the IRA as a threat to Canada.

If we believe the latest propaganda, al Qaeda and its associate terror branches are looking for ways to get into the U.S., and hearing about all those lovely unguarded borders between Canada and the U.S. was probably just too tempting a potential target.
I agree with Cletus. We do have a lot of terrorist organizations, most of them seem to be in the business of financing for their causes overseas. Bunch of slime they all are. It seems that in Canada, multi-cultural pride has a dark side, where pride overflows into provocation and support for homeland conflicts overseas. They can get the fuck out of this country and go fight their own wars, the scumbags. We have in this great land supporters and fundraisers for the Sikh Babbar Khalsa, Tamil Tigers, Iraqi MEK, Kurd PKK, IRA, Al-Qaeda, and many, many more. I just think it's time CSIS grew some hair on it's balls and stepped into action against these people before the inevitable happens.
One difference worthy of notation: Canada may well have more "terrorists" than the U.S., but they are not being attacked. Not sure of the relevance of this fact, but there it is...
^Fair point, but Bin Laden has called for their attack. Also, the US hasn't been attacked on US soil since 9/11 / The war on terror began...
This is why multi culturalism isn't such a great thing

Multi-culturalism is a wonderful thing aya. It's just that it seems like the Liberal government is so afraid of being labelled as "extremist", that they decide to not tackle the problems that come with a liberal immigration policy. They're cowards.
