Well, to think that they havent been planning attacks is foolish. Id say combination of intelligence, killing /arresting terrorists, taking the fight to them. However, the average response will say that Bush hasn't planned any more attacks...YET.
Not much it seems. If someone wants to hit you they can pretty much do it anytime. (Seems to me)
There is nothing that can be done, any psyco with a desire to do so can do it.

^Agreed. In a free society, it is impossible to prevent terrorist attacks from occurring. That's the whole point of terrorism. Anytime, anywhere, anyhow. Your mind will fill in the rest.
But to answer your question directly, the thing that I think is most likely
to prevent these terrorists from attacking any major american city is the fact that the attacks were clearly aimed at disrupting the G-8 summit. Consider the resources and motive(s) necessary for 9/11 to occur, and the consequences. Now consider the resources and motive(s) necessary for the London attacks to occur, and the consequences. That's a huge gap.
And, barring further attacks, if their goal was to send england into a state of paralyzed fear, they've failed.

Little to nothing. One downside of a democracy is that it is vulnerable to precisely the kind of attack we saw in London today.
Ironically, the aftermath of this bombing may be a curtailment of many of the liberties Brits enjoy
and allow terrorists to achieve greater damage to the freedom of citizens than the terrorists could hope to accomplish on their own.
Well there are far less people here who would do suicide bombing then there is in London.
Hopefully Britain and the US will redouble their efforts to stop these morons from breathing any longer.
It is too bad that many people will take this time to blame the US and UK for crating this atmosphere.
Never mind that the US and UK are FREE SOCIETIES and there is not one Arab and/or Muslim controlled country that is not a FEAR SOCIETY.
america has more security but less freedom and more media hype about the issue so it'll be harder to attak america again.
The terrorists will fail in scaring the british people we are not afraid, and our resonslve will not be shaken and we will not give up our freedoms we have survived much worse than these cowards.
