Okay, I did check the Private box, but it did not take, so if you all don't mind, I want to leave it as is, unless told otherwise.
Having to step in like this is putting a damper on my fun. So far, me and my friends have been thrown out of a movie theater by a very old and very cranky 60 Minutes anchor. The old bast*rd complained about us and we had to leave. We will egg his house in due time. Other than that, the mayhem we promised to cause has been mild, but we intend to change that. We've got our hands on a box of M80's and we're going to (scratch that, we don't have a box of M80's and I'll deny it anyway).
So what gives? Why all the in-fighting?

In all seriousness though, I really feel the same way you do. It really sucks that this crap has to happen.
It was so totally 2004. You're right. Now its Y2K5 and war is the mantra of the masses! (geez, that sounds like a great catch phrase! Will you help me spread it around?)
It's only dumb luck that I'm home now anyway. I won't go into why we are not out, but lets just say that it involves a moped that may or may NOT have been paid for (rental fee). Whatever! I'm all about anarchy now anyway.

That's just the nature of communication over the internet. Unrestricted speech is a blessing and a curse. People can say whatever they want, with no fear of the consequences that would happen if they said the same thing in real life.
Not only that, but miscommunication is a hallmark of inter-drama. This is due in no small part to the fact that these words on a screen do not have any emotional content. For example, think about how different people sound if they're saying the same thing with sarcasm or no sarcasm. The best thing you can do in this regard is to try to emphasize your feelings or main points in your text by using caps or bold/italics/underline
e.g. - "That's not the point." vs. "THAT'S NOT the point."
The best thing you can do is to remain calm, which will in itself (eventually) exert a calming influence on others. If you're really angry or upset about something, or someone insults you, then go get a foot massage or something and then log back on again. Yelling is not a good way to communicate.
You don't have to be a robot, just remain aware of how the manner in which the way your'e communicating is impacting the topic at hand.

Very good advice. I notice that Cathexis and Mojo did not show up on this ballot for our meeting :) I have to meet my friends at the beach, but I will be back to check in later, so they better be here to answer how, under their watch, someone on here chased Larry away!
