COMMENTS:
The strongest potable drink I've had was a shot of Bacardi 151. I also accepted grain alcohol ... once. However, I don't consider 190 proof ethanol to be a "beverage."
wood grain alcohol
White Lightning, aka Moonshine, or Mountain Dew. Don't know the proof, but some of it was probably at least 140 or 150 proof. I used to know several people who made their own (seems to be a lost art now though).

ummm, 190 proof? Surely it only goes up to 100? I.e 100% pure alcohol?
No, the proof is different, for some strange reason. Cathexis will know :)

Proof is 1/2 the percentage of alcohol. That is, 100 proof is only 50% alcohol. 190 proof would be 95% alcohol. You don't see bevarages over 100 proof very often, but they're out there (waiting for the unwary and overly curious).
Correction, I meant the alcohol percentage is 1/2 the proof number.
Good old Everclear, 199.99 proof by the label. One sip helped me to decide upon a life of sobriety.
Starkle, starkle little twink. The who for hell you am I think. I’m not under the al-fluence of inkahol. Like some theeple peep I am.
