Personally, it's the light that strikes fear in me. We grads of Miskatonic Eastern all have this problem.

Good old Miskatonic U (spent many a pleasant evening perusing through the rare books section of the library there). Personally I like the dark. However, I hate tripping over stuff I can't see and falling down and hurting myself (if only we humans had some kind of feelers).
