I think the reason why people didn't object was that US was there to do good, without any alternative motives. We were there to stop genocide - in a country that is already torn apart by anarchy. You see, back then, when Clinton was in power, other countries saw US as being a peacekeeper and not an evil tyranny. Iraq is completely a different story - war brought to you by republican party, sponsored by Halliburton, your friendly American (wave flag now) oil conglamourate.

That's a good point fiddle_faddle. I don't even know much about Yugoslavia and what happened. Of course it was on the news for a while but as with nearly all tv news it is superficial nonsense.

I think so. In America the conservatives have control over almost all the media, while they continue to whine about it being "Liberalized" (read BULLSHIT). But the area were most uninformed in, and I know this because I actually watch the BBC and read foreign language newspapers, is Foreign Affairs. If America really knew what was going on in their name in most parts of the world there would be insta-revolution.
On top of everything, and I know people are gonna yell Nazi, but their really is an unbalanced proportion of Jews in Journalism and the Media. Next time, fellow americans, read the last name of the writer who writes about israel, and it will always be a jewish name. Ill informed? I think so
