A friend of a friend just forwarded the following to me:

I've noticed over the last few days that anything I send to an AOL customer that has the words Zionist, attack Iran, nuclear weapons, Karl Rove, Downing Street, London Attacks, and a few other words critical of the Bush administration and Israel came back with the following:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: _________.

I took one email and deleted any reference to nuclear weapons, zionist, attack and it went through. It didn't make any sense without those references but it went through.

What do you think of this?

Makes me want to cancel my account.
Makes me want to research this matter further.
They have every right to 'edit' my messages.

I'm going to do some tests with AOL friends. I hope my emails are not bounced back. Maybe they are aware of the 'problem' now and are working to 'fix' it?
