The riots were started by a very small number of Muslims. If all Muslims were like the rioters then I think we'd be seeing more than just a riot. That's irrelevant to your point but here's my response to your point:
In Islamic theocracies, Muslims aren't allowed to riot against the Jihadists. The radicals and rightwing muslims on the other hand are allowed to riot whenever the west does something. Get my point. If they were allowed, moderate Muslims in theocracies would do something about it. The riots were allowed, protests against Jihad aren't.
Sadly, too many of the true muslims don't believe these are acts of terrorism, but are rituals to Allah to destroy the Evil Americans and the Evil English. Many of the Muslims cheered during 9/11 and the London Bombings.
If we blew up their holy mecca or exploded a pocket nuke in the middle of Wasteland Afghanistan, then that would be considered an act of "terrorism" to them.
Too many muslims worship Bin Laden and terrorists for their evil actions, and I won't feel sorry one bit when karma hits them over the side of their head and they all get exterminated for their ignorance and injustice.
I believe the terrorists are strictly adhearing to the teachings of Islam.

the bombings in London and Egypt, would you give that religion the absolute support you give Islam? would you defend it as a small group of Christians do that, I've noticed on ballots about Christians blowing up abortion clinics, you jump to those events without saying, it's just a small group of christians that do this, what is it about Islam that you seem so ready to defend? They believe in God, right? and many of you seem to have a problem with anyone believing in God over evolution, I really don't understand your thinking on this issue.

A few points:
* Islam doesn't have a head guy (e.g., a Pope). They have no single source to speak authoritatively for the religion.
* There has been a *lot* of Muslim condemnation of these acts. Strangely, they are rarely carried by US news networks.
* Some percent may sympathize with the motivations, but not the responses of terrorists, making them conflicted.
* Be honest -- would any amount of condemnation from them appease you?

I've asked this question on a ballot of mine: #77369. Why have no major muslim clerics or religious bodies issued a fatwa condemning Osama Bin Laden? (4 votes) and got some good answers, but NO ONE seems to have read it. Try looking there instead of havng me repaste everything.
Thanks for that FFOLSD. It also seems that people don't care about your call to end religious fights either, I was hoping they would.
