Pat Robertson essentially said that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez should be assassinated, and he basically encouraged it on national TV.

The Fifth Commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."

btw, non-Americans, I just want to say that Pat Robertson does not speak for all Americans, and that statement that he made certainly does not represent my views.

He knows it, and it matters to him.
He knows it, but he doesn't care.
He did not know that.
He should have known it, but doesn't care

Of course. He also knows that Dinosaurs never existed, God can read everyone's thoughts at the same time, the only unforgivable sin is not believing in God, Man hasn't existed for more than 10,000 years, Heaven is up (guess the southern hemisphere is out of luck), the universe was created in 7 days, eating a piece of bread brings a dead guy into your body, nobody else is praying for the other football team, etc.

And these televangelists wonder why they're made fun of. First Jimmy Swaggart says, on his show, that if he ever runs into a gay person, and that person were to proposition him, he'd kill him in a heartbeat, and now the Ayatollah Robertson strikes. If it were a comedy routine, it would be a hit. Wonder how he felt when Saddam Hussein put the hit out on Daddy Bush?
