COMMENTS:
sorry, but i tend not to agree. "pc" is very subjective and each person has his or her own view of what is offensive. obviously there are some statements or comments that are just blatantly racist or bigoted, but, who am i (or you) to dicate people's thoughts? if someone believes what they are saying or if they don't see it as wrong, there is not much you can do about it. the label of "racist" or "bigot" is totally out of control and over-used to the point that it has lost its meaning. that's the backfire effect. use it too much and use it without thought of what it really means, and at some point, people are so desensitized to it, it means nothing.
I dont think the word 'Nigger' ever loses it impact. Nor does the word 'Fag' to some in the gay community. I dont believe it is PC not to articulate prejudice, its just common manners and politeness.
Yeah, a very small minority. Most just don't want the truth censored and censured.
Actually, it seems to me that censoring the truth is a prime Republican objective. No one is going to acuse anyone in the Bush Administration of being in favor of the truth.
