Rugger is the best next to boxing
rugby is a real mans sport game! any sport that involves padding are for pussies!
bullshit G669af u dont know shit. i HAVE played both sports and i have to say rugby is definitely a more vigorous contact sport that requires strength, speed and agility. the players are tough, more smarter strategically. better ball handling skills, hits are more harder and are much fitter - they have to be cause rugby doesnt stop continuously unlike g/iron where the game is of short periods of hard action. rugby only stops at halftime for a couple of mins - 40mins 1st and 2nd half. it makes it much more faster more exciting but when it comes to tackling a rugby player, they got to rely on their strength in their body rather than the bullshit armored shoulders and helmets g/iron players wear. so basically rugby makes gridiron a sport for sissies.
i've played both, the hardest hits came from the speacil teams of american football, the kickoff or punts were incredily violent, but teh scrums of rugby hurt also, by and by i say both sports hurt alot.
What you don't see in rugby is players getting kneed in the head in the scrum, and eye-gouged in rucks, usually by the French!! The French props used to head butt each other before matches and come onto the field already bleeding. Mentalists
American football players wear equipment because the hits are much harder. Wearing armor allows one to hit harder. The strongest lineman is stronger than any rugby player, but slower. The best wideouts are faster than any rugby player, but can't take hits as well. Rugby has well-rounded athletes, while football uses specialization.
