Actually, I think it's admirable. You always think you know how republicans are going to react to things and mostly you are dead wrong. Maybe you don't really know as much about us as you think you do. I guess the dems won't give him credit for it, even though you are always screaming to hear him apologize.
^ I agree I wouldn't have done it I don't think, but he thought he was doing the right thing. "Buck stops here" stuff you know.
Personally, I think it's a nice change, and my opinion of him is better for it. That's what made me think of this ballot. If Bush did something that raised my opinion of him, then would there be an opposite reaction on the other end of the political spectrum?
They shouldn't, but many will. Especially the water- carriers who have doggedly defended everything he does. Now that he accepts responsibility when they have ranted that it wasn't his fault, where does that leave them? How can they unquestioningly defend him, now, when they might get undermined? BTW, it is about time he acted like a President. It isn't admirable ... it is expected.
^ RIGHT ON.

No it won't because the rightwingers never question their master. They just close their eyes and ears and say "yes", no matter what.
there are people on all sides in politics who refuse to accept, and comments on this ballot sorta shows that Sometimes I really wonder if anyone is right
for better or worse , not sure which, but this site makes me question everyone's sincerity when commenting
I'm still recovering from my heart attack.
No. Diehard supporters will always remain smitten and blinded to the cold, hard facts of his disastrous handling of not only the aftermath of this dreadful hurricane, but to almost everything he has ever handled or touched. He's King Midas, only in reverse, but his few remaining supporters may never cotton on.
Well I'm not sure about them, I don't want to speak for the entire group of people that are rightwingers. All I know is I haven't more respect for him because of it. To me, it was only common sense for him to acknowledge the fact that they just screwed up. So what about everyone who pointed at liberals when they said Bush wasn't responding appropriately? What about them yapping about "ooh you lefties blame Bush for everything.." Well now that we have this little confession and we know it WAS the administrations fault; where's the apologies for that behavior?
