Korea, South- 20.82 Billion
Italy- 20.2 Billion
Saudi Arabia- 18.3 Billion

i hesitated to click on this ballot cause i already know the facts if not the figures.
i forget his name but the ben and jerry ice cream guy has a web site illustrating the amount the u.s. spends on military versus all other programs.
this is what eisenhower warned of--the burgeoning of the military industrial complex.

Why are so many people happy to let our health and education go to Hell while rich old men get richer rebuilding guns every year? Only stupid suckers get led into that mess. We can already have the world if we want, everyone knows that, how much more powerful can we get before we can waste money on EDUCATION?

Nope. Those numbers (for the US) seem a little low. Defense spending could, in my view take 20-30% of GNP and not bother me.
